Location: Sacramento, CA

Client: City of Sacramento

Construction Value: $5.5 Million

Services Provided: Construction Inspection and Administration

The project involved extensive traffic control and phasing to accomodate the significant volume of traffic on this primary arterial street.  The work included widening the existing two-lane roadway to three or four lanes, with several turn pockets. The project included constructing a new roadway section, substantial AC pavement, unsuitable material removal, a slurry seal, extensive median and perimeter landscaping, utility relocations, storm drains, a traffic signal, street lighting, meandering walks, and various other aesthetic features.  It also involved the removal and phased reconstruction of a conventionally reinforced, slab-on-pile bridge over a sensitive water way.  Also included was dewatering the channel and installing a concrete channel lining.
