Mr. Graves has 13 years of construction inspection and administration experience, in addition to his 12 years of fiber optic and bridge and roadway maintenance experience. He has worked as a consultant Senior Construction Inspector for several local agencies in Northern California, including the Cities of Grass Valley, Sacramento, Rancho Cordova and Placer County.  He was the City of Sacramento’s primary inspector and administrator for a half dozen years for their Annual Seal Coat / Cape Seal Project, which involved hundreds of miles of City streets.  He has also worked on dozens of Capital Improvement Project’s (CIP) and Encroachment Permit projects during his career.  Mr. Graves is very knowledgeable, enthusiastic and versatile and can take on a variety of different projects, particularly ones that involve public interaction and involvement.  His ability to work cooperatively with residents and business is invaluable.  His duties have included daily inspection, daily field reports, reviewing submittals, pay estimates and change orders, coordinating construction activities, and public safety and relations. He is very familiar with local agency requirements, as well as those of the Caltrans Local Assistance Procedures Manual.  Previous to Mr. Grave’s inspection and administration experience he was a Project Manager and Field Inspector for five years with two fiber optic companies where he managed the installation of numerous complex fiber optic systems in the Sacramento area.  Prior to that experience he worked on a Nevada County Bridge and Roadway Maintenance Crew as a heavy equipment operator and field hand.  Mr. Graves is very familiar with standard industry construction practices. He is intelligent and motivated and is always eager to take on new challenges.  He has an excellent work ethic and he works well with other people. His common sense approach to issues and his knowledge of the trades make him an excellent field inspector on any type of civil construction project.
